SRG Students Raise Fund for RNLI

RNLI

Three girls decided they wanted to help the RNLI after they visited their local lifeboat station in Flint. The girls, who are Year 8 pupils visited the station in July. They watched a video about the work the RNLI does around the coasts of the United Kingdom and Ireland, toured the lifeboat station, and listened to the work that the RNLI volunteers do at Flint.

They went away and decided that over the summer holidays they would raise money by walking up a local mountain (Moel Fammau) a total of seven times raising a total of £186.00. Presenting the cheque to Western Division’s Deputy Divisional Inspector Matt Crofts, and Deputy Divisional Engineer Mark Crumb are Rhianne Sandall, Nia Davies and Georga Pierce. DDI Matt Crofts gave the girls a big thank you on behalf of the RNLI and praised them for taking the initiative to raise funds for the charity and raising such a large amount of money.
